Summer Showcase at Heart Gallery

SUMMER SHOWCASE

I popped some of my work in the post on Monday to Alison at the Heart Gallery for their new summer showcase exhibition from 10th June to 03rd September. They are celebrating the Best of British Craft new makers who are inspired by the natural world... that's me! The showcase will compliment the exhibition work by Suet Yi (ceramics) who is inspired by the beauty of wild flowers, falling leaves, autumn trees and resting birds.

Colour Board

Work starts next week on my 2013 collections and I'm loving the current pastel accent trend, maybe a few pearlescent/shimmer accents to bring luxury to my prints is just the twist I need. I found the fossil above at the Natural History Museum Oxford, it's full of texture and sophisticated colours against the cool grey background!

A showcase of work from graduating students in Fashion, Surface Design and Printed Textiles, Fine Art, Fine Art Painting and Drawing, Graphic Communication, Illustration, Product Design, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Photographic Practice and Foundation Art and Design.

Open evening will be Thursday 7 June 6pm - 9pm and the showcase will run continuously for the following week

Fantastic work from this years graduates goes on show  all day tomorrow at the prestigious Silverstone Circuit in the iconic Wing. Today I lent a hand setting up the show and I will be there again tomorrow supporting all degree graduates, especially those who I have coached and tutored over the last 9 months within Surface Design and Printed Textiles.
